Jan Creidenberg, Board Chair
Jan is Vice President, Global Marketing for the Infection Prevention business of CareFusion, Inc. a global medical technology company. In this role Jan is responsible for leading marketing initiatives in the U.S. and internationally, including currently marketed products, market research, and commercial development of new products. He is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a major in biology. Jan has served on the board of industry associations, as well as several other nonprofit organizations. Jan is also an active member of Village Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Susan have 3 high school aged children
Katherine Cosgrove Van Horn
Katherine is the owner of F.I.T Bodies – a personal training and fitness consulting firm based on frequency, intensity and time. She possesses a master’s degree in exercise philosophy and over 20 years experience as a health and fitness professional. Her clients include several local organizations and corporations such as Helzberg Diamonds, Lockton Insurance, Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, and the Blue Valley and Shawnee Mission School Districts. Since June 2002, Van Horn has served as one of 20 members of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
Brett Garr
Brett is currently a manager in the Corporate Development group at Sprint Nextel Corporation, working on strategic business initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Since joining Sprint in 1999, Brett has served in a variety of roles within the Finance, Marketing and Strategic & Corporate Initiatives organizations. He graduated with a BSBA in Finance & Banking from the University of Missouri in 1999 and earned an MBA from Rockhurst University in 2004 with an emphasis on Finance & International Business. In addition to serving on the Hope Family Care Center board, Brett has chosen to live within the neighborhood he serves with his wife and two children.
Matt Gazaway
Matt is a Certified Financial Planner who works with individual clients and families in the greater Kansas City area. He was born and raised in Marshalltown, Iowa and then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Business from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. Prior to joining VALIC financial planning in 2002, Matt worked for Learfield Communications for 6 years. He is also active with the Greater Kansas City Financial Planning Association where he serves on the Board of Directors. Matt and his wife Tara live in Lenexa with their two daughters. They are all actively involved at Heartland Community Church where Matt serves as a What You Do Best in the Body of Christ Coach and Facilitator.
Roy L Brackett
Roy Brackett currently serves as Director of Strategic Development for DST Technologies. Roy previously held sales and or business development leadership positions with AT&T, Sprint, Aquila and Bayer Healthcare. Roy holds an MBA from Rockhurst University.
